After being unsure about whether to go 40 or 36, I got a call from my AD saying they had a 40 in if I wanted to try it. Went in, tried it on and just felt so right. My wrists are around 6.7-6.8 inches but quite flat. It feels perfect for me and that's what matters.The 40mm Explorer on my wrist looks really compact compared to the other watches I wear, eg a Rolex Submariner. It looks a sleek and unassuming watch, it’s a modern day equivalent of how a 36mm watch would have been perceived in the old days when men used to wear 33-34 mm watches and even smaller.
